Green Business Certification
Since 2007, the Town organization has been certified as a Green Business by Santa Clara County. To be certified as "green," the Town must be in compliance with all regulations and meet program standards for conserving resources, preventing pollution, and minimizing waste. The key goals of the program are to promote resource conservation and pollution prevention.

Town Fleet
As of 2010, the Town has 6 hybrid vehicles and 4 electric vehicles in its fleet. The Town also has a large fleet of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) vehicles, which have extremely low CO2 emissions and lower fuel costs.

Spring Into Green
Keep Los Gatos Beautiful Month
Each April, the Town sponsors a series of events and programs to celebrate National Earth Day, National Arbor Day, and National Volunteer Recognition Week, with the goal of raising awareness about the environment and making a positive change on individual behavior.

Spring Into Green is an event in April that celebrates sustainability in Los Gatos. With many local booths residents have the opportunity to learn multiple ways to be sustainable in a fun interactive environment! Don't miss the Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony celebrating the Town's continuous efforts as a Tree City USA.
