NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT SECTIONS RECIRCULATION

SUBJECT: REVISED BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES AND CEQA CONSIDERATIONS SECTIONS OF THE SURREY FARM ESTATES DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR) HAVE BEEN PREPARED BY THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AND ARE ON FILE IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AT 110 EAST MAIN STREET.

Requesting approval to amend the General Plan land use designation from Agriculture to Hillside Residential and to rezone the property from RC (Resource Conservation) to HR-1:PD (Hillside Residential Planned Development) for a ten-lot single-family residential subdivision. APN 532-16-006. PROPERTY OWNER/APPLICANT: Tom Dodge.

The Town of Los Gatos has prepared two revised sections of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for recirculation under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Article I); the State CEQA Guidelines (Title 14, California Code of Regulations); and the California Public Resources Code (Section 21000, et seq.) to provide significant new information and to revise the Biological Resources and CEQA Considerations Sections of the Draft EIR. The revised Biological Resources and CEQA Considerations Sections of the Draft EIR are available for review online at http://www.losgatosca.gov/twinoaks-surreyeir, in the Community Development Department and Town Clerk’s office at 110 E. Main Street, and at the reference desk in the Los Gatos Town Library, located at 100 Villa Avenue (check Town’s website for hours of operation at www.losgatosca.gov). Please note: Town offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

The public comment period for the recirculation of these sections of the DEIR is 45 days and expires on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. Comments should be submitted in writing to Associate Planner Jennifer Armer in the Community Development Department at the above address or emailed to JArmer@losgatosca.gov.

2017 BUSINESS TAX AND LICENSING
BUSINES LICENSE RENEWALS FOR ALL BUSINESSES INCLUDING
HOME-BASED BUSINESSES


Business license taxes were due January 3, 2017. As a courtesy, reminder notices were mailed in December 2016. Per Town Code Section 14.10.075, a forth 25% late penalty was assessed on May 3, 2017. Current penalties are at 100% of the license tax. A business which fails to renew or disclose that it no longer operates within Town limits will be forwarded to a collection agency. ADOPT ORDINANCE 2259 OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING THE TOWN CODE REQUIRING THE LICENSURE OF TOBACCO RETAILERS AND ADDING SECTION 18.60.020 TO THE TOWN CODE OF LOS GATOS ENTITLED PERMITS FOR RETAILERS OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS AND/OR ELECTRONIC SMOKING DEVICES (SUMMARIZED)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that at its meeting of Tuesday, May 2, 2017, the Town Council conducted the introduction and first reading, and at its meeting of Tuesday, May 16, 2017 the Town Council adopted Ordinance 2259 amending the Town Code requiring the Licensure of Tobacco Retailers and adding Section 18.60.020 to the Town Code of Los Gatos entitled Permits For Retailers of Tobacco Products and/or Electronic Smoking Devices. Ayes: Jensen, Leonardis, Rennie, Sayoc, Spector. Nays: None. This ordinance was enacted and will go into effect thirty (30) days from that date. A complete copy of the ordinance is available in the Clerk Department, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, CA 95030. If you wish to challenge the action of the Town Council in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Town of Los Gatos Town Hall at, or prior to, the public hearing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the TOWN COUNCIL of the Town of Los Gatos has scheduled a public hearing meeting on TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, to:

1) 339-341 Bella Vista Avenue – Architecture and Site Application S-12-103 and Subdivision Application M-12-008. Consider an appeal of a Planning Commission decision denying a request to construct a single-family residence on property zoned R-1:8. APNs 529-23-015 and -016. PROPERTY OWNERS: Jake Peters and Dan Ross. APPLICANT/APPELLANT: Dan Ross. PROJECT PLANNER: Sally Zarnowitz.
2) 681 Blossom Hill Road, Suite 100 – Conditional Use Permit Application U-17-001. Information concerning the above applications is on file in the Community Development Department at 110 East Main Street, and available for public inspection during regular public counter hours 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The staff reports to the Town Council will be available for public review three days prior to the meeting in the Community Development Department and Town Clerk’s Department at 110 East Main Street; the Town Library, 100 Villa Avenue, during regular business hours; and on the Town’s website at www.losgatosca.gov. Please Note: Town offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

All INTERESTED PERSONS are encouraged to appear at the Public Hearing and be heard.
